April 2017 - Cresset release the beta of Flare, a commercial drug discovery application based partly on software developed within the Bristol RSE group.
April 2017 - Dr Maturos Malaisree and Dr Christopher Woods presented a talk and poster at the American Chemical Society meeting in San Francisco discussing software and science developed as part of the EPSRC IAA award.
January 2017 - The RSE group has won EPSRC funding to help develop BioSimSpace, the CCP-BioSim/HEC-BioSim flagship software project that will support researchers across the biomolecular simulation community in the UK.
December 2016 - Welcome to Chris Edsall! Chris is a core-funded RSE who has been hired to support software development across the University.
November 2016 - Welcome to Matt Williams! Matt is an RSE who has been hired to support software development as part of BrisSynBio, a BBSRC/EPSRC funded Synthetic Biology Research Centre.
August 2016 - The University, as part of GW4, has won EPSRC funding to develop a new Tier-2 Supercomputer based on ARM technology. As part of the award an RSE will be hired to support porting and optimisation on ARM processors.
August 2016 - The RSE group has won an EPSRC Impact Acceleration Award to develop software to predict the affect of mutation on the efficacy of medicinal drugs. This project is in partnership with Cresset.
July 2016 - The Bristol RSE Group officially starts. Thanks to the EPSRC for providing seed funding via the EPSRC RSE Fellowship Scheme.
